Clinical Social Work/Therapist

About

Phew!!  So that first step has been taken.  It's kind of like exercising or recovery, that first step can be the hardest.  Welcome and thank you for taking the time to be comfortable with me.   My name is Angela and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, as well as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Currently I work with adults who are struggling with severe mental illness, developmental delays, and homelessness. Many of the clients that I see in-person struggle with financial difficulties, substance abuse, and relationship issues as a result. In addition, I work with elderly adults with mental health and medical issues which result in them living in Skilled Nursing Facilities at this time in their lives. I worked with teenagers for over twelves years who dealt with severe trauma and abuse from the people closest to them.   I have seen so many great success stories.  I enjoy supporting the people I work with and going down their journey with them.  I absolutely believe that having mental health and substance abuse issues is something that people are able to recover from and learn toolsnecessary to be able to live as healthy of a lifestyle as possible.  I also believe that a mental illness is just a part of who you are, and that focusing on other strengths in life can help to achieve even better success.  A sense of humor goes a long way as well.  I would like to start to develop a rapport with you, challenge you, and ultimately share in your strength and your journey.

Angela is great! She’s super nice and is doing a great job of helping me work through some personal issues.
Understands very well, and is good at making sense of what I'm saying. Which is impressive as I'm extremely bad at describing/explaining.
She was a great Therapist with a good sense of humor and very down to earth. She also was very easy to talk to. Would recommend her.
She responded so very promptly, she asks very good questions and is thorough. This is our first meeting.
Kind, wise, and understanding
