I'm a trained active listener and a prospective social worker. I would love the opportunity to listen to your current struggles and help you work through them. I have also had to deal with issues in my own personal and familial life. I have experience dealing with difficult situations and hate seeing others struggle in similar ways on their own.
Issues that have come up in my own personal life or in the lives of my close family or friends include: health problems such as cancer, diabetes and obesity; suicide contemplations and attempts; collegiate struggles and the financial/career problems that follow; parental issues and divorce; un-diagnosed and misdiagnosed mental illness; early and sudden death due to intoxication; domestic abuse in romantic relationships and parental-child relationships; the passing of family pets; restraining orders; feeling a disconnect from others around you; being friendless; racial/sexual discrimination and judgement; feeling unsupported by family and/or friends; and being "outed" in an un-supportive LGBTQ community.
**Note: I list ASL in my languages but I am NOT fluent in ASL. I took four semesters in college and use it on occasion to hold a conversation but am by no means fluent.**
