Bio
I have a few close family members who struggle with personality disorders. I grew up witnessing the emotional distress and inner turmoil disorders can cause, as well as how it can effect family, work, friends, and relationships.
I understand that not everyone struggles in the same way, and that every person experiences events differently. Not everyone has to be going through extreme circumstances to be effected by periods of inner turmoil, but even more so if the extreme does happen.
I believe in the profound power of empathy, compassion and support without judgement.
That, as human beings, we have the power to lift each other up, or commit terrible cruelty. The difference being how we interpret the world around us and how we choose to interact with those closest to us.
Cultivating a safe, comfortable environment to explore one's own thoughts and interpretations is key to understanding the sources of emotional and rational turmoil.
While there is no one formula that can be applied to every individual, working out our individual stresses, expectations, needs and goals helps formulate a plan for effective treatment options.
