I was born in Greece and for the past 7 years I've been living in Australia. I am married and a mother of two girls, 20 and 16 years old. I love studying, trying different things and changing paths in my life. I hold a bachelor degree of teaching and of law, a diploma of cancelling and currently I am doing a graduate diploma of relationship counselling. I love reading and writing and I currently work as a journalist at a Greek newspaper in Melbourne. Unfortunately, 3 years ago I was diagnosed with early breast cancer which a few months ago turned to metastatic. I've had all kind of treatments and went through hell to stay alive and strong. My cancer is at remission, however I am still undergoing treatment. This experience has changed me a lot physically, emotionally and mentally. There were moments that I felt that noone could understand me. I just wanted to talk to someone without fear or guilt. Just to take it of my chest. I found comfort using some helplines. That's why I want to be able to be that listening ear for anyone out there that is in need.
