I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Santa Cruz University in CA. And a Master' degree in Counseling Psychology with a minor in Substance Abuse. I love talking to people and helping solve problems with solutions. I use cognitive-behavioral therapy to change irrational thoughts to rational thoughts by challenging and changing thought processes. I also am an animal person and all of my dogs have been rescued. Currently, I have Bonita and I found her on the beach in Puerto Rico 10 years ago and she is the love of my life!! I created a Domestic Violence Support Group which is being utilized currently. Created groups and co-facilitated these groups, including Self-Injury, Grief for children and families, Anger Management for adults and children, Depression and Anxiety. Was also a co-facilitator for a court-ordered Substance Abuse Group that met twice weekly for 2 1/2 hours. I have chronic pain due to falling 6 feet in 2006 and losing 4 inches in height. I am also a Vietnam-era veteran of the Army. I have a son who is 41 years old. I love life and am quite a happy and well-rounded individual.
