I am a person who has always enjoyed helping others. I am the friend that people go to to talk about their issues and have someone who will listen. This year I served as a mentor for first-year students to help them adapt to college life. I have dealt with my own issues including anxiety, depression, and the problems that developed in my life when I began college. I have chosen to volunteer because I want to be there for others that need someone that will just listen.
