In case you're wondering whether the two of us would be a good match, I want to share a few things about me.
I love helping others, I am a dog person, I love reading and art and long walks, and big cities, and getting immersed in a good movie or tv show. I have been through my fair share of things, and supported people around me with the issues they were facing.
I believe that every issue you are dealing with, no matter how big or small you may perceive it, is worth talking about and that's why it's so awesome that you're here right now. I also believe in the power of humor, at the same time I know it's not everyone's cup of tea ;) and that some topics are not funny whatsoever. I am not a professional psychologist, but over time on here I have learned my bits and pieces about active listening and offering emotional support, which I believe if done well, can go a long way. And offering emotional support through active listening is what I will try my best to do during our chats. It may not solve any issues you are facing, but maybe it will take the weight off your shoulders and make you feel less alone with it.
I am happy to listen about pretty much anything and everything! :) Naturally though, I am stronger/more experienced with some topics than others. My listening strengths lie in LGBTQ+, relationships (including yourself, your partner, friendships and families!), grief, work, struggling with beliefs and belonging, being a TCK, TCI, CCK, support in situations of being discriminated, and PMS/PMDD.
Currently my schedule is busy, so I currently take chats one person at a time, an hour each, and regulars weekly.

My history is in sexual child abuse, depression, and various other anxiety problems. I've also dealt with resolving family, relationship, and financial problems, mostly as a fallout of the abuse I suffered. Being a tough subject, no chat topics are off limits to me, but if you are trying to use 7cups as a dating site, I don't have time for you. I am here to help trauma survivors and others who need emotional support, and I request that you respect that. I am planning to become a therapist for CSA survivors, and so listening here on 7cups to my fellow survivors is my first step on that road. If I am set to online, feel free to message. If I am set to busy, I am most likely already chatting with someone and will either message you after I'm finished or schedule another time with you.
