I'm a trained active listener and I like to support people struggling with Depression, LGBTQIA issues, Alcoholism, Sexual Abuse/Domestic Violence, Self Harm and Traumatic events as well anything else you would like to talk about. I enjoy hiking, camping, reading and working with dogs. I've overcome a lot in life and would like to help by listening to you. If I'm online, then please feel free to start a chat. My background is in past works with domestic violence, sexual abuse, facilitator for teen glbtqia+ groups, advocate for victims in the courts and with the police. I am a teacher by trade and therapeutic riding instructor as a volunteer. I train dogs for service to create art and volunteer at a rape crisis center and love to be here to help anyone who asks!

Activity Scheduling Activities can be connected to the way you feel. If you track feelings of depression, you may discover that when you are depressed you are more passive and less active. Following the observation that depressed people tend to stop doing pleasurable activities, depression treatments often emphasize increasing the weekly number of pleasurable activities. I am glad you found me on "7 cups of tea". I hold a Masters in Counseling. I have two wonderful boys who have helped shape me. I personally believe that the "Terrible Two's" do not exist, sorry the "Terrible Teens Years" do. Importantly, I have real life experience in dealing with social issues. One of the first things I ever loved was books, I think. It's something that's remained constant about me throughout the years. My favourite author at the moment's Marie Lu, and here's a quote of hers: Every locked door has a key. Every problem has a solution.
Stories just attract me, I suppose. In much the same way, people do as well. It fascinates me that everyone's so unique, that each possesses a story that's unlike any other. And thus I'm always willing to hear your story, no matter what it is! When I read, I get so caught up in the story that my thoughts and feelings are secondary to what the character's thinking and feeling. I believe - and hope! - that I listen in that way too.
Regardless of your story, you're not a waste of my time, I promise. If you're struggling, I'm really sorry, and I hope that I'll be able to support you. If you've got something you'd like to rant about, then you may think of our chat as a safe space for you, and vent all you'd like. And though these are not the only emotions, I hope my point manages to get across - that no matter who you are or how you're feeling, I'll do my best to be here for you, because you're worth it.
Some things I've dealt with include anxiety, bullying, depression, eating disorders, stress, forgiveness, loneliness and self-harm. I'm a teenager, girl, sister, student and daughter, not necessarily in that order! That being said I'm willing to listen to you even if you're not going through anything that falls under the topics I've mentioned - but if you'd prefer to find someone else, that's okay too.
