Activity Scheduling Activities can be connected to the way you feel. If you track feelings of depression, you may discover that when you are depressed you are more passive and less active. Following the observation that depressed people tend to stop doing pleasurable activities, depression treatments often emphasize increasing the weekly number of pleasurable activities. Additional ways to improve mood:
Surround yourself with people who have a positive impact on you
Invest in friendships and have a “go to” person that you can trustBecome more forgiving - forgive yourself and forgive others
Build on areas of strength and note evidence for new beliefs that replace old negative beliefs (praise yourself for things you accomplish)Keep a gratitude journal

Understanding what depression is begins the journey toward recovering from depression. You may not realize that depression symptoms are not just emotional. Depression is much more than a low mood, feeling sad, and being irritable. There are cognitive (e.g., self-criticism and hopeless thoughts), behavioral (e.g., isolating from others and having difficulty ’getting started’ with activities), and physical (e.g., sleep problems and change in appetite) symptoms as well. The mind and body are very much connected, and the way that depression affects someone demonstrates that strong connection. Learn more about what depression is by reading the Depression Guide on 7 Cups of Tea’s website. -------------------------------------------------------------------Okurrrr! Hello there! I'm Excel and I'm a teenage girl from Nigeria. 👋🏾(I'm not a huge fan of Cardi, by the way, lol)
I know it can be daunting for you to talk about your issues to a total stranger (like me) but if you just want someone to listen to you or you just want to rant or you need help on certain issues or you just want to chat, I'm here for you.
I'll support you to the best of my ability and you can feel safe talking to me.
Reviews and feedback are very appreciated. ❤️
Here's a positive affirmation to say to yourself every day:
Have a wonderful day/night ❤️
Hello! I’m Light, as in ‘a light that can guide you out of your darkness’.
I am open to talking about most issues(sexual issues excluded) and will do my best to help you feel better about yourself/your situation.
If there’s a green light, then I’m on the site and ready to chat! If there’s an orange light, I’m on the site, but I’m busy. You can still message me though and I’ll respond as soon as I can, but responses may be delayed depending on what I’m doing. If there’s a red light, then I’m currently not on the site, but you can still message me and I’ll get back to you when I can.
There’s a list of issues I can help with to the right. If there’s a yellow star, then I have personal experience with that issue.
*Note: I can speak some German, although I’m not fluent in it*
