I had and still have to struggle with the things I offer support with and that's why I think I can help you with it. I understand you well and maybe I have suggestions, techniques or skills to help you. My top areas are living with chronic pain or disability, self-harm and panic attacks. I also have non-epileptic (dissociative) seizures which are quite much under control by now and I'd like to exchange experience about this anytime.In the following I will describe myself as a Listener and explain in what case I am the right one for you. It does not mean that I don't welcome other people. I just don't want to waste your time and want to make it easy for you to find a suitable Listener. If you select me as your Listener and I think there is a chance that I might be able to help then I will surely try my best to do so. Yet I do not take chats with any kind of sexual content, not from Members and Guests, nor from Listeners. If you message me with that I will tell you to leave and if you don't do so I might not have another opportunity than blocking you.If I was to describe myself as a listener I would say I'm mostly supportive, reassuring and encouraging. But despite all my empathy and understanding I still tend to be somewhat challenging. If you are looking for someone to pity you or just an empty space to vent to you might be better off with another listener. If I am offline you can drop me a message still and I will get in touch when I see it.You should always try and choose a topic even for general requests as long as the thing you want to talk about matches any. This increases your chances to get connected to a suitable listener as quick as possible.
As well if you are in condition for this you should always try and find some time to leave a detailed and honest rating and review after each chat with a listener. It's not only that you can give something back to a helpful listener with a good one but mainly that you can help other members to find the suitable listener for them. It should roughly include the topic you talked about, what was good or bad about the chat and if you would recommend the listener to others struggling with the same. Don't worry, you stay anonymous and also you don't have to do it if you're not comfortable.
