Driving Test
Hey, I do generally have bad anxiety already but I started learning to drive last year and before every lesson I get so nervous that I feel sick/bad stomach and now I have my test next week! I feel sick thinking about it because I know how panicky I'll be on the day and don't know how I'm going to be able to handle it.
@EllieW14
If you feel you don't know the driver's handbook well enough off by heart studying could probably help and I recommend it cause I failed my first driving test because I had forgotten some of the rules in the time between reading it for the written test and the driving test a year or so later. Learning the roads local to the test site is a good idea too. My first test was in a town I wasn't used to driving in but was much easier in a town where I knew what to expect from practicing on those roads. The person giving the test will know that you're nervous already because almost everyone is. Hopefully it's a nice person who helps you relax and take your time. Also the Mindfulness tracks in the Path menu here on 7cups can help ease excess anxiety.
I'm 23 and I haven't even taken my driving test yet :/ So I admire that you're going to take one at all!
I've had my permit for years and all I have to do to get my license is take the test, but I've been such a coward about it. I get the same panicky feelings lol.
I didn't get my liscense till I was 22 years old.
Driving school is a great way to get over anxiety of driving. My best friend was killed and it scared me to drive for years. My family pushed me to take lessons and it made me more confident. Now I could do it with my eyes closed... just kidding😋
@RandiiBabyy that's great that you can now feel confident driving! My test is in a couple hours, never felt so sick
