i just cant take another round of anxiety

User Profile: juliak1968

Can anybody distract me from having the anxiety i feel taking over? We are all pros at defeating anxiety until the big one has your body trembling, and you just know what about to jappy by the fear and perception and long string of disapointments i jist thought i endured like a champ. It was optimism that blined me, but here come the worst break down, ive had wheezing all day, and i kept fighting to stay in the present moment. To many factors could make this the last one i just couldnt handle. I thought about calling crisis but then i just knew talking about all the recent disapointments and stress would bring it on faster. Im feeling like i need to keep typing even if its nonsence to distract this. I need fun, not sadness right now and turn this into manic instead of what i fear is going to be terrible anxiety

I MAY HAVE GOTTEN LUCKY THIS TIME

I only slept an hour. I feel asleep without my cpap mask, woke up trembling in fear, then my nose stuffed up, and more fear and anxiety took hold, so my asthma got really bad and i thought anxiety was completely in control, my fear left me struggling to breath, and dried out throat from falling asleep without the mask, i looked up repressed anger but my nose was so stuffed up i looked up words (stuffy nose and anxiety) I got lucky on my 4th ir 5th site. I had faith and began breathing out of my nose calmly, put a pan of boiling water on the stove, sipped water, opened the door a little (its freezing sub zero out brrr) then breathed over the pan a few times, put water in each nostril, took a pain med, put spearmint chapstick under my nose, and its just 3 hours awake now, and i feel so lucky to feel anxuety lifting away slowly. I created a thread when i was getting the most afraid, and inside i knew many things caused this to happen. The 3 apartment disapointments, the dry throat, and stuffy nose. I was thinking if ending it for 30 minutes and thought about the crisis phone number and i knew if i talked it would have gotten worse because i just cant keep reliving the hopeless, sadness and pressure

Hi, Thank you. I really feel better right now. Probably 80% better. As i felt it getting worse i knew from.past experiences that i have to resisf feeling the over whelming fear, and use everything i learned and more. Do you suffer from anxiety? If so, have you ever noticed that it feels like the world around you changes and its like being invisable, so nobody is there when you need the most help. Im so grateful right now, but i fear a long string of disapointments is trying to find a way to come out, i pray it doesnt happen again. I had worked to over come so much all week, and as hard as it wss, i had the gloves to fight on.

Anxiety is like life sucker punching us

I really appreciate you checking in on me.

I think im going to win this round😉

@juliak1968 last week i had another episode of ptsd nightmares. They are so real. I dreamed i was being attacked and i kicked my attacker. I woke up to find i had kicked a makeshift shelf next to my bed while asleep. I knocked everything over. I had my heartbeat racing and this happens too much. I take prescriptions to limit these but they still occur.

I too was given proscribed meds. Although they did help however I had to stop taking those pills cause of serious side effects. Aargh. Now I am with no meds trying different methods to cope with nightmares / traumas flashbacks

@juliak1968 I'm glad you're doing better and I'm sorry I wasn't there to check on you when you needed someone. I love your positive outlook coming out of the panic attack. I need to start reframing my thoughts like you. Like I'm winning a round when I can successfully calm myself down. smiley

To answer your question, I do suffer from anxiety and the last few months I have really felt it spike. I've been doing what I can to lower it with the help of my counselor, the support of 7 cups and the work I have done on my own. When I'm close to a panic attack, I actually feel the opposite than you do. Rather than feeling alone and seeking help, I usually feel crowded and I need space. Interesting how it can affect us differently.

@SecretlyMe

ALWAYS

I know I feel alone, but also I hesitate calling for help due to that added confusion that I worry could make it worse. Im so glad youre learning how to beat anxiety. It is a fight. And anxiety is just a low down theif that want to steal our control, then our joy and calm. Focus angrilly, breath slowly, focus your mind because when your using it well, anxiety gets no attention, and soon must fade away. I think the key is the confidence we learn from past anxiety fights; weve learned its fighting style, but we are here training together to be number one! Blessings ny new freind!

We know that suffering is tge enemy we all wish nobody had to go through. I woke up in a panic at 1am this morning from a bad dream and the last thing i heard was chaos in my dreams feeds what reality brings

I jotted them on 7cups so i wouldnt forget them. Strange scary dreams, i heard one group yelling "repent" to the other group. No idea what the dream was now, just a sence of fear left and no memory. Probably best forgotten 🤔🖐

I was thinking about you earlier today. Ive been having problems getting near a wifi signal so im not on 7cups much at all. How are you? Thank you for messaging me the other day after my bad dream. I wrote a poem about about an awake dream. That time when laying there unable to sleep. It probably would be triggering so maybe i shouldnt put it here. I hope your life has plenty of smiles, lots of laughable moments, and a real sence of purpose. Always remind yourself how lucky we are for the little things in life. Fill your mind with beauty and good music, and express yourself with a bit of artistic flair. Each little thing we do like that enriches our lives. Hard times can have creative and artistic solutions.

Big blessings my freind

@juliak1968 You're welcome friend :) I hope that your have been sleeping more soundly since then.

I'm doing ok. A little stressed because of the virus scare. A lot of changes have been happening around me and that change has been affecting my anxiety. But I'm trying to remain calm and positive. I am trying to remain focused on the things that matter like getting through my responsibilities. How have you been doing?

I think that if you wanted to share a poem about your feelings on 7 cups, you can as long as there is a trigger warning. I could be wrong, we'd have to double check the guidelines, but I think as long as you give readers a warning before they read something that triggers them, it's ok. After all this site is all about expressing ourselves and working through some diffcult times. We wouldn't be able to do that if we were forced to censor ourselves too much.

Good morning,

I know that covid stress got the best of me yesterday and i pushed a guy that stole frim me. I likely will be homeless by noon today. Im so afraid, anxiety is hovering above me and the hardest times are in my immediate future. 😔

If i wasnt so sick, and wasnt disabled i would be ok. But now living out of a broken down car with asthma, sleep apnea, copd, hypertension, and a painful degenerative bone disease seems nearly impossible.

If i can live beside a lake or stream, i wont have to worry about the looming virus, but so many other things i will

I put the poem at the very bottom of my thread

Now i just need to stay calm, and follow their recomendations. It took a lot of effort to finally get to this point. Im going to try hard to stay on this path now, and focus on it.

I've been feeling this weird anxiety since about the beginning of February concerning death. And I guess it has to do with me finally having everything I've worked so hard for. I come from an abusive household, moved out with 17, still managed to get a degree and work an amazing job in a huge international company. And I was always on my own, financially and mentally. Now it seems like everything has shifted and instead of me being happy I feel super anxious all the time and chatastrophize I even had the worst sleeping issues, which have gotten better.

Can anyone relate? How do I accept that though I may have experienced it in the past everything is fine and that I can finally "relax" and enjoy the labor of my fruits?

Thanks guys ❤

@badejorI believe we all are profoundly brave, and we must come to grips with our limited time on earth. Lets not dwell on the end, or we might fail all the possibilities inbetween.🌞

Your not alone. I believe we each take a place in the night sky after we go, and each one of is a star that makes the skies very special, its an enernal beauty after we transition. Live love and laugh never fearing that splended new life form we take on. Our souls will live forever.

I hope you dont needlessly suffer 38 years before getting the help. Being bullied or a scary situation could have planted the fear seed deep into your heart, you can get back your life with help. Fear is a corrosive theif that will rob you if not confronted.

The key to everything is to advocate for yourself, for your rights, use your witts, know you want to educate yourself because the best weapon is knowlege. And protect who you are, what you want, and distance yourself from anybody including family that uses or abuses you in any way.🖒😊

We must remember to self care, forget responsibilities for the length of a good movie, or stand up comedy act. I know its hard to allow ourselves to enjoy something.....but we simply must make time for ourselves for some enjoyment.

Im realizing all the pressure we put on ourselves (and others) makes for higher pressures and less joys, so we should really try to practice for very regular mindfullness like about every 30 minutes, finding a way to deregulate on a schedule. I think we can retrain ourselves to have real good control. Its a good goal to try for. Turning off stress, anxiery, and ptsd symptoms really could be sovery helpful. No worries when an appointmwnt gwts missed, they do it to us, and we are equals. My last 3 phone appointments were all late and i had to call to get them to honor their appointments. I owe them a no show or 2 down the road lolz

I find I'm catching myself fast now when any of life's million triggers reminds me of some things from the past. I refocus on anything's texture, smell, shape, or any sound ect. because our brains cant do 2 things at the same time. Learning how to be in control of this complex stubborn SELF is the key to steering towards better ways😊 Take a walk outside and pick some grass, or a leaf from the tree, get back to the times when life was so simple 👍

Dont sweat the little things😊

Blessings

It's tough to stop worrying about things that have consumed you slowly over a long period of time. You can neither forget nor forgive and every time you think about moving on you realize that it is important to face the problem rather than ignoring it. But how do I remove it from my life, knowing that I might not stand strong in an argument and that Person can destroy my life and separate me from my loved ones. It's tiring and overwhelming. I have a headache thinking about it.

Its possible to get help, things are not as we have them in our minds and I am being shown and guided and it really works. I feel good inside a lot now a days. I see hope and am optimistic although I also feel vulnerable and so I keep it honest with my therapist and open minded and read 2 or 3 times until I get it and ask questions when I need to. Its fun to learn and feel better..................so take that step and go get ya a trained trauma specialist or a therapist that you are most happy with and that you trust!

it does work.
