Hi! It would be great to talk to an aroace listener!
It would be nice to talk to someone who is aroace and asocial, because I need advice since I'll be going to university next year and don't want to make the mistakes I made and am still making in high school(like: make friends, act like I have a crush, so people don't think I'm weird, act normal, laugh when I don't find anything funny, talk to people and waste time). I love being alone, but I still have to interact with people if I want to be succesfull in life. So that makes me socialy anxious and that destroys my inner peace...
I need tips for how to be friendly with people, but not make them think I want to be friends with them... And at the same time not make them think I'm their enemy or something like that.
I also need advice about working in group projects. Since the way I do them now is either <I'll do everything(don't get in my way)> or <Do whatever you want, I don't care>. So it's either I work alone, or don't work at all.
Also, planning my day will be really hard, and I want to try to get back to normal since getting out of high school means leaving behind all the stress and anxiety and depression(hopefully)...
So... If anybody fits into this, please post in this thread. And it would be nice if I could reconnect with the same listener next year if I had more questions... I hope someone can help...
Thanks in advance!
I'm not really who you're looking for but good news: no one really wants to be friends in university.
At least, for the one I've been going to anyway...
@Phthalo Really?? I hope it'll be the same with the university I'll be attending. I really hope that's true. Thanks! That IS really good news!
@WhiteBearClub It might depend on type. I think the fact that my campus is a commuter campus (there are no dorms and there's no clubs or sports) has something to do with it.
@WhiteBearClub
Hey, WhiteBearClub. I've been to university myself- not a long time ago. If you think you would like to ask me questions about it, or just talk/vent, feel free to send me a message. Also, I am willing to listen to you for a longer time.
Take care!
