I have MDD, severe anxiety, and I'm partially blind in one eye. I have childhood trauma from bullying and family issues. I've been to anger management since I was a child because of becoming easily angered with changes to a safe environment. I was treated since I was 12 for suicide attempts and am currently seeing a counsellor for it.

I'm 22, mother of of, common-law married to the father of my child, living with his parents and brother in their home. They have recently taken in his sister's 3 children (10, 3, and 14 months), which causes a large amount of stress with trying to parent my own child and deal with my own issues.

I need someone who can help me get through my days as I have no one to talk to at home. No one believes me in my current household and my counsellor can only see me once a week.

Wow. You have a lot on your plate. I guess me saying, "Just smile and think of good things" won't exactly help. (Sorry...I'm good at bad jokes.)

First, remember you don't have to look at everything all at once. Try and separate your different issues and look at them individually. I'm a writer by nature, so I'd suggest trying to write to try and clear up your thoughts and possible options to make things even a little better. Perhaps it will help you "prepare" for therapy sessions...they seem to go so fast.

Never forget that you deserve patience and loving kindness. Try and show those attributes to yourself. It is sometimes a long, winding, and rock-filled path, but I believe there is a path. I'm glad you are seeking assistance.

I'm so pleased that I was fortunate enough to come across your post. If you read this and come away with nothing else, there is a (fairly) fat, old man in front of a computer that cares deeply about you just the way you are right now -- scabbed angel wings and all! There is a quote that I adore that reads, "If you remember me, I don't care if everyone else forgets". I care. I am deeply moved.

You are worthy of compassion. Remain courageous. I sincerely hope I am fortunate to come across future posts.

Thank you, this really does mean alot. I hope to get through this so I can live the life I have never truly lived. It is hard trying to understand true happiness when I have never felt it, but I have hope that someday I will.

I really want to try to work on one individual issue at a time, it's just that as soon as I correct one, then fix another, something else happens and all systems go back to the same way I started.

It will be difficult, but I can't give up.
