Looking for long term listener

User Profile: Mapita

Ciao,

I'm looking for a listener who can be there for me long term. I've been really struggling with my mental health and emotion, family issues, work/school stress, and other issues.

Please don't request to help me if you have more in your life you should do instead, or if you're not up for it. It's better you stay healthy.

My timezone is CT (USA central), and im typically on 8/9-10 PM.

Thanks :)

@emotionalMap4252 Hi, I am very sorry to hear how you're feeling. I have found a forum post which might interest you. In below link, on all 111 pages, listeners have mentioned that they would be able to provide long-term support. Do have a look:

https://www.7cups.com/forum/GeneralSupport_28/LongTermSupportBoundaries_1613/CongratsyoucannowbelongtermlistenertoamemberInformationforlisteners_73291/92/

I sincerely hope that you find a good long-term listener. If this doesn't work for you, please do write to me. I shall try to find an alternative for you. Also, in the meantime, feel free to write to me if you're looking for on-spot listener. I would love to hear you out (even though, unfortunately, I would not be able to provide long-term support as of now).

Hugs,

@WhiteAura9 so, long term listeners are called sponsors?

How do you get a sponsor on mobile app?

@emotionalMap4252 Hi, maybe that's an old term. But the purpose is to provide support to members for a long duration via chat conversations. So, whosoever has mentioned that they would like to offer long-term support, check below:

1. See who has mentioned that most recently. (This would ensure that their profiles are active as well as they probably have low chances of taking up another member for long term support, which in turn would help them be there for you for longer duration.)

2. Check profiles of the said people (refer to point 1).

3. Message them if they would be able to provide long-term support to you.

The ones who would be able to do so, shall respond to you in accordance. Thus, you may start conversations with them.

Do let me know if you'd like further clarification or have any other query.

Take care, smiley

@WhiteAura9 Unfortunately, I cannot. The app seems to limit me.

@emotionalMap4252 Awesome! Let me know how it goes for you. Also, in point 2, when I asked you to check profiles, I meant to add that in the profiles, see their areas of expertise as well as areas they have directly experienced. And then choose the ones with whom you can relate. This will increase chances of better support. :)
