My mother is dying and I am looking for a listener/friend/buddy

Sorry for the blunt thread title but I wanted to be as clear as possible. My mother has a terminal illness and is most likely going to pass away this year. I would really like someone to talk to about the thoughts and feelings that come up. I am seeing a cousellor and I have a supportive partner but I am looking for another person to share the hard stuff with, perhaps ongoing pms. I feel I should specify I am non-theist, so while I truly respect your beliefs and would appreciate any thoughts and prayers, I would apperciate it if you didn't offer me comforts that require a belief in heaven or a higher power.

I am very sorry about your mother. It is very hard watching someone you love very very much fade away and I wish there could be better news. I am not a listener i am just a member but i lost my mom to 14 months ago, I know the kind of pain you are going through. I want to say something, if you can try and think of things you might want to ask her in the future, like questions you want answers for, things about her that you don't know but wish you did, write them down and ask her. There is lots of stuff I didn't ask my mom things I would love to know about her, about me, things that might help me now, but I didn't think to ask until it was to late. But it is not to late for you. Please think about that cos one day things like this is important. I am not a god fan either, but I like to think she is up there dancing in the sky, singing in the angels choir and eating dinner round a big table watching over me, shouting at me to learn move forward. Enjoy the time you have take lots of pictures and voice recording, this bit is silly but I wished I asked her to write me a birthday card for the future, so I would look forward to open a card especially from my mom. We are all here for you. I'm so sorry to hear of your mums sickness but know that you have our full support and love here.
