Need a listener to help a middle aged guy through divorce
My wife of 19 years and I are separating. We've had more than our fair share of tragedy and our paths to recovery have been very different. It's early days and we're feeling our way towards co-parenting/shared parenting. Sometimes I need someone to talk to who's outside our circle.
@TheSleech Hi, I'm Jan. I'm very sorry things didn't work out for you both. I've been through a separation, including how care is then given when you have children. It's a tough time, not going to say otherwise, but you do get through it. It gets better, you learn to adjust, but give yourself time. You all need that. In time, a strength and calm will settle in place of the chaos and you find you look forwards, learn more about yourself, your own needs. From something sad, good, positive things can grow, truly.
