Is it too late to fix my relationship
Ive been with my bf for 3 years. Due to childhood trauma Ive unknowingly displayed severe insecurity and controlling issues. My bf never communicated this with me and so i never really realized it. However, in feb he couldnt ignore the issues anymore and tried breaking up finally givinv me the reason. Since I realized i was toxic I genuinely wanted to change and promised him I would if he gave us a chance. He agreed but This all has also made him lose most romantic feelings. Thankfully, Im doing much better now. My bf wants us to work out and we're doing our best now. I just wanna know how concerning or slow is our progress? Its been 2 months , ive started therapy and have had little to no insecurity issues but his feelings havent changed. Hes accepted the possibility of us not working out if it comes to that but i havent at all . He does however now have more hope for us since issues seem to be gone and thinks there might be room for feelings to grow again but Are we on the right track? do we need time or is our relationship done for?

It sounds like quite a journey you and your boyfriend traversed but I'd say it definitely sounds like you guys are moving along this together and making the right steps to accommodate and save the relationship. Regarding if you're moving too slow or fast, there's really no right answer. Every relationship is different, the circumstances that surround the people and the relationship itself creates a dynamic that's unique to you and that relationship only. Maybe things might be too slow and there could be a falling out for some, for others maybe moving too fast skips around dealing with the real issue at hand. As long as you and him are trying your best, I believe the timing should be a second priority.
thank you for the reply. I'll try not to think abt our timeline too much. i guess im more scared that hes not as scared of losing me as im him. He would grieve but hes definitely accepted the worst case scenario whereas i really havent at all and it hurts. idk if i should work on progressing our relationship or also work on accepting that we may not work out

I'm also going through something. I've been with my girl for 5 years and I'm the one with jealousy/insecurity issues. I don't know why I'm like that or think that way. I don't know why I get in my head and think the worst or have trust issues. Long story short, we had a blow up and I may have lost her due to these stupid insecurities.
My advice is address them asap, don't let them grow and build up.
Don't let it be the reason your relationship fails.
