Communication
Lately I feel like everything I say causes an argument between my bf and myself. It doesn’t matter the topic. Our most recent one was over a pants. I had purchased 3 new pairs of pants, all the same just different colours. I asked him which he liked the best and he said he would need to see an entire outfit before he could make a decision. I kept asking just the pants which of the 3 colours is best. This is what started the argument. Once he started the get mad I tried to drop the conversation, which is usually me saying it’s stupid never mind or I’m sorry you’re right but he was not having it. He keeps saying you must either be insanely stupid or want out of this relationship if you want to argue over something stupid. All I wanted to know was which of the 3 colours looked best (someone may so oh blue is more your colour, or the white doesn’t suit you).
I just feel like I am at a point where I should not speak. Every time we argue (and I use that loosely because our arguments are him yelling at me, and me just saying I’m sorry) . I always tell myself after I’m not going to talk but everytime once things good between us completely forget about this.
I start to feel like am I just crazy and stupid should we not be able to have a simple conversation without it always turning into this. Shouldn’t I be able to talk any anything with the person you want to spend your life with.

Yes you should be able to talk to him about anything ......even what color is the best. His behavior shows he frankly does not care about your feelings. You did Nothing wrong and have Nothing to apologize for.
It is a power play game and as long as you cower away and apologize he thinks he is in control. It is your choice but sooner or later most people grow tired and done with the constant apologizing to calm a person from throwing a tantrum. this is not an argument or communication it is him testing how long of insulting and yelling it takes for you to back down and pretend he is right.
I do not know you but can confidently say you deserve better. .........you deserve a partner.... not a boss.... The pattern has formed already .... he will not know what to do when you stand up for yourself and he might throw a bigger fit when you are no longer apologizing over nothing to appease him .
