I understand how you feel .. my partner at beginning of relationship was attentive to details and slowly just let them go made me angry and resentful...

it is hard to really feel a partner cares when they forget or do not acknowledge things that are important to you.   It may seem like small items to other people ( often whom this has not happened to) ......... but forgetting or just not really into something that is important to you (early in a relationship) is a reason to rethink where this is or where is it  going?  and how much you are willing to ignore.
