My listeners keep "dissappearing"
I haven't been here for very long, but I had a really great expeirence the first few weeks I was here. However, after I have established a "relationship" (ie, filled them in on my pretty lengthy backstory, what I am looking for here, and what I need help with today, ect) and received help/positive feedback (ie, am willing to talk to you, you can leave me messages, i'll be on from roughly this time to this time on these days) they either quit responding or I have been blocked with no warning/comment. From my understanding the second is out right unprofessional and the first shouldn't be happening either...
As far as i'm aware I am not doing anything wrong, I give them lots of warning before I bring up really trammuatic/bad stuff and have been trying to pick people who have expeirence with trammuatic events. I thought I could find someone here to vent to outside of going to thearpy so i'm not dumping it on my friends, but this has been really discouraging. Am I doing something wrong? I have been through three different listeners and finally came back today to try and get connected to a new one (which is taking over an hour, is that normal?).
My first listener disappeared too after appearing sincere and genuinely wanting to listen. The listener then asked me to leave a feedback, promised to keep the lines of communication open and the disappeared. I was respectful and appreciate of the listener's time and didn't do anything wrong. So it's quite disappointing especially after building rapport.
Hi there, I'm really sorry to hear you had that kind of experience. Would you be interested in chatting sometime? Maybe we can see if we click and develop a new connection.
Take care,
Lea
Sure, that would be really nice.
Just leave me a message and I'll respond by tomorrow. I'm on almost every day :) -- Lea
That's rather pro-active and sweet of you. I'll be in touch too.
