We have all loved experimenting and posting in our feed since it launched! 
I have noticed that many members have been hesitant to join in & follow each other and fellow listeners. The feed is intended to be a place of sharing, connection building and encouragement. I follow many people whom I have never chatted with & for those of you who are comfortable with that, I want to invite you to join the..... drum roll please..........
Follow a Member Marathon!
What is the follow a member marathon?
A 1 week event in which we encourage members & listeners to follow each other! Specifically, if you look at your follow list and you see that you primarily follow listeners, go find 26 members to follow!
26 miles in a marathon & 26 members in the follow a member marathon!
How do you find people to follow?

- My impact contact list
- Reposts on your feed
When does this start?
RIGHT NOW!
If you participate, please share the names of the 26 members you have followed in this thread! When you post write -
"i am honored to now be following....and tag their names"
Once completed, you will earn the "Marathon Badge!"
Anyone, who goes above and beyond the marathon challenge (by listing 26 or more new ppl they are following), will be eligible to earn 1 cheer for every extra person they follow!

What's the use of following anyone here? We're all people living our lives the best we can.
Sorry - I misread your remark as a suggestions members had less to offer than others!
@uglyPandaMan, I found that some people have such a hopeful and powerful perspective about life, that it helps me get through another day.
Sometimes you need a distance to see that what's important, and why it's worth the struggle.

No, what I meant was more like the technical function of following members?

When you follow a member, @uglyPandaMan, it is just like following a listener - posts that they've created appear on your feed.
But if it's still not the answer you're looking for, maybe @KrinkTheMellowUnicorn or @Laura can tell you more about it.
if you mean how do you do it, it's the same as with a listener. you hover on their username and click Follow or you go to their profile and click the follow button there.
If they post to their feed you will see their post in your incoming feed and if you like you can repost and add a note to give them encouragement or to let them know that they are not alone.

Follow a member to connect with them, to encourage them to share their thoughts, to let them know you are here on the site for them if they need you, to welcome the.
Many people are lonely and need more people in their lives.
Also, follow members for yourself, so that you are also connected to more people and reaching out beyond your comfort zone.
Its for members to have a voice. To build a better connection between listener/member or member/member. It also is a good way to keep track of the progress they're making and seeing how well they're using the site. I feel like there are many reasons. Some members post really great things and its a joy to follow them.

unfortunately, the android app does not have the follow feature yet! you will have to participate from your computer.

Ive joined this lovely community exactly 18 days ago, in the surge of my depression relapse. Since then I took part in your discussions, shared ideas, hugged you and was hugged, listen to your pains, celebrated your successes, and also observed a rapid growth of this website. I was heard and understood in my struggle. Even more, I was given hope.
It was a difficult time for me, full of despair and sorrow, but you made it easier, with your never-ending compassion and kindness. I met plenty of wonderful, generous souls. You were a reason Ive been log in every day. You give me reasons to wake up and keep trying, despite setbacks and my impatience.
