[Out-of-Date thread] Summer Sub-Communities - Staging Area! See which communities are on the docket and help make their creation a reality!
Howdy folks!
In this thread, I will announce the communities we hope to launch this summer! We have many leaders who are interested in launching them, however, we need to hit a base line engagement before launching. After all, what is a community, without any participants or activity?
So we are presenting the below topics to you and inviting you to join in! If these communities are for you, make them your home in the forum, help the grow, nurture them...etc. Post in the regularly, invite others to post too! Slowly but surely we will work to launch these in the order that makes the msot sense based on enagement! I provided metrics for each and ideas on how to increase your engagement! When each community meets its engagement goal, we can create a launch plan!

Please note: the leaders listed are those who have applied for subcommunity creation. There are other leaders linked to each topic - forum mentors, supportiers., discussion folks! So if you are not listed and you want to help out, please reach out to one of the indivduals listed here!
If you don't see a community hear you'd like to build, please review these materials in this subforum and fill up this form.
Ideas on how you can increas participation in your area:
1) Invite new people to join in on feed, forum tags, Pms, group rooms
2) Add threads that ask people a direct question
3) reply to every new post you see with a follow up question! Invite each poster to post again in the area ! Tag people! no reply goes goes untagged!
4) Set up a brainstorming session with others in your leadership group! Maybe ideas for new subforums or threads!
- Play a game, start a healthy debate discussion question, ice breakers...etc. Look in other 7 Cups forums for ideas too!
5) Host a foum / chatroom special event for your community
6) Check-in sub-forum! Start a daily/ weekly check-in! Experiment with these! You will have low engagemnt at first, but keep at it. If you reply to each person, inviting them to check back in the next day, slowly you will build up a small group!
7) Welcome all newbies! If you see a newbie, welcome them!
8) Join social solders and invite people on social media who would be a good fit for your community
9) Create a tag list of early adopters and tag them in your new posts
10) Ask your community what tpyes of conversations they want to see in the space, ask for feedback and ideas fomr your regulars!

The self harm communities started weekly check ins, forum discussions, started a tag list and are planning fun things to get more activity and it's been slowly but surely helping a little bit and gaining more involvement!
