I agree too. Looks like an early draft got published by mistake.
I think it's sometimes showing you listeners who are online and can chat now, regardless of what you search for. That doesn't seem right.
I tried sort by Screen Name and I got a bunch of listeners with no name!
I tried find keywords and it didn't seem to work at all.
I searched for male therapists and it showed me mostly female therapists.
I searched for therapists who speak French and it showed me the same therapists it always shows me.
Sort by Listener Rating showed no listeners at all!
Advanced Search closes so you can't see what criteria you just searched by.
The Long Term Support Information link uselessly goes to page 13 of the thread.
Simple Search hides the advanced search parameters but doesn't clear them, so you don't actually get back to simple search.
"Listens to Teens & Over 18" isn't resolving the entity name to &.
There's still no obvious way for teens to find an adult listener they can chat to.
The profile summary seems to show two lines, but parts of a third line are sometimes visible depending on what size things are in the browser. It would be better to truncate it nicely.

@RarelyCharlie - I believe most if not all of the search functionality problems have been fixed. For a brief period, @devteam turnd off the filters entirely while working "under the hood."
As for the aesthetics, that is a placeholder design. We are working on a more usable design update.

Alas, the search functionality problems that I listed still seem to be problems. The advanced search now stays open, though.
As of course you know, a low-risk way to avoid remaining stuck in 2013 is to make many incremental improvements and test them as you go along. A big redesign like this is a high-risk way to go about things, because testing takes so long and it's so very tempting to release it before it's ready.

@RarelyCharlie - search should be working now. fwiw this was an incremental update. First we added the therapist cards and cleaned up some of the accumulated design debt in the search, then we fixed the bugs we made, then we tweaked the colors, now we are testing copy, and soon we will be updating the visual design, all of just this one subfeature. I'd hardly call that a grand redesign!
Likewise, we moved the community section to an updated design and are gradually extening it to the rest of the site as we touch various features, again not a sweeping redesign of everything at once....
@Tyler5641 - if we fixed every bug before releasing anything we'd still be where we were in 2013.

Im finding finding a listener extremely frustrating!! Either no one is available or they dont want to talk about what I want to talk about. Ugh!!

Have to understand that listeners are volunteers who spend their time here instead of having fun or doing other things. They are here to contribute to society, not all listeners have that in mind and not all want to speak about certain topics. This is a free support system and I think you can always get paid services with real life therapists who will talk about anything under the sun with you.

What I dont understand is people who think they know what other people understand.
I posted my feeling about the difficulty in finding a listener. That should be ok. AND it should help make this wonderful FREE system BETTER.
