Research Opportunity for less experienced listeners - Nov 2022
Hi everyone! I hope you are doing well. I am here with a research participation opportunity. The purpose of this study is to see how automatically-generated suggestions and example responses affect listeners in an online peer-to-peer counseling platform.
Participants will be compensated for their time with a 20 USD gift card from the researchers upon completion of their participation. It is estimated to last an hour.
Who can participate?
They are looking for less experienced listeners based in the USA with the following criteria
Joined 7 Cups as a listener on or after January 1st, 2022.
You must be currently living in the USA
Age 18+
are comfortable listening in English with a computer on one of these two topics: Anxiety and Relationship Stress
have little to no background in psychology or counseling other than 7 Cups
No behavior reports/points in the past 6 months
For the researchers to get a suitable sample, it is important the participants to meet the above criteria. Please only apply if you meet all of the above.
The researchers aim to do the interviews before the end of November so you need to be available in these coming days.
The form closes on Friday at 12:00 AM ET (December 2, 2022)

We will contact you using email and the compensation will be in the form of an amazon gift card
I noticed a requirement is that your chat messages amount has to be below or at 50. What if when you applied and submitted the form, you had exchanged let’s say 30 messages total, but then after you submitted the form… you answered more listener requests, you chatted more with people and let’s say your messages total increased to 54 messages? Would you still meet the requirement for the study?
