Feedback: Listener Statistics
Currently, there seem to be three different that Listeners can look to find different statistics about themselves.
The first is obvious, and this the "My Profile" area. This publicly displays a Listener's overall rating and reviews, the number of ratings and reviews, and several other statistics such as cheers, chats (member 1-1's), listener group chats, group support chats, forum posts, etc.
The second is the "My Impact" page. This page is private to the listener and displays some of the statistics from the My Profile are while not displaying others, and includes some extras such as "support chats" (member 1-1's), listener chats, compassion, repeat users, etc.
The third, which is a lot less obvious, is the "Certification" area under the Training tab. which additionally shows chat hours and training badges.
My feedback is simple - Create one area, that is private to the listener, that displays all of the different statistics included in the three different areas. This could just be as easy as updating the "My Impact" area to include the different statistics it does not already include.
The full list of statistics, as far as I know, is "Listener Level", "Cheers Earned", "Number of Ratings", "Number of Reviews", "Member Chats", "Listener Chats", "Member Group Chats", "Listener Group Chats", "People Helped", "Chat Hours", "Repeat Users", "Compassion", "Forum Posts", "Forum Upvotes", "Referral Clicks", "Progress Path"
Why? This would be make progress tracking a lot more easier for those listeners who enjoy it. For example, I have a private Google Doc with a Sheet dedicated to my weekly and monthly statistics, and the change-by-week/month. Take a look:
I also have a table beneath that tracks the increase this week compared to last week.
This is something I personally enjoy doing as it means I can evaluate my activity week-by-week/month-by-month and also will allow me to judge when I have met certain milestones.
This would also benefit listeners not so interested in tracking their statistics but are just interested in seeing a more detailed version of the My Impact page to see where they are at and seeing more labels than the current 8.
As the work we do on 7Cups is so important, it would be great to see it all in one easily accessible way, allowing us to more easily celebrate our accomplishments and the impact we have.
Thank you Ethan for your feedback. You bring up an important issue about accessiblity and about finding that information in a way that is easy to understand. I have sent the feedback to the rest of the admin team for thoughts and about ways we could add this into the platform.
@IcedEthan I kind of agree. The present arrangement is a little messy and confusing.
However, there's a need to distinguish between public information that anyone can see, and private information that only the listener can see. So there is good reason to have two separate pages. And certification is arguably different, so there is some reason to have a third page.
A simple fix would be to have all three pages link to each other, when viewed by the listener themselves. Someone familiar with the code could do it in 10 minutes. But feedback and suggestions from the community are very rarely acted on, so I am not hopeful.
