March 1: Sponsor Program/ Browse Listeners Matching Update Now Live!

If you are a listener looking for a sponsse, here is what you need to know:

Once you earn the Fellow Friend (25, 1-1 chats) and the Loyal Friend (1 approved positive text review), you will unclock the ability to accept sponsees. Your settings page will look like this:

If you tick the box to "accepting sponsees," you will be featured on the browse listeners page when members search for a sponsor using this new search function. It looks like this:

Once a member has reached out to you and you have made the connection, you can go back to settings and untick this button!

If a member reaches our to you and you don't believe it is a good fit, please let them know in a kind and professional way. And encourage them to keep searching for their sponsor!

Once you find your sponsor/ sponsee, well ask you to let us know in this thread!

If you are a member who is looking for a sponsor, here is what you need to know:

1) Review this post prior to searching for a sponsor!

2) When you are ready and you are able to follow the requirements to participate (mentioned in this thread) you can go to the browse listeners page and search for someone who would be a good fit to be your sponsor. Use all of the search criteria you can, the more specific the better. Find someone from your country, your age group and who wants to help with a topic you are struggling with. Again, this will look like this:

3) Reach out to this listener by sending them a friendly message. Let them know you'd like them to be your sponsor! Not all listeners will be able to say yes. If the listener you reach out to says no, don't fret! Keep looking. It may take you a few tries to find the right fit.

To start, we'll ask that you only have one sponsor at a time.

4) Once you find your sponsor/ sponsee, well ask you to let us know in this thread!
