Hello. Why a google form? I wish 7cups would use other forms, to protect privacy  and anonymity.

Shame for me that I can't afford any private therapy service.

@amiablePeace77,
What advice do you have for others who are looking for coping mechanisms and strategies to help them manage the aftermath of complex trauma?

Thank you for your question.
I would try to figure out what your triggers are (e.g. being yelling at) and your responses to them (high energy/anxiety/anger/overwhelmed vs shut down/numb/dissociate. Then use coping skills based on those responses

@Pinkcar2387
How do you talk to your therapist about something without shutting down or dissociating? Anytime I think about it I have strong feelings which leads to me being mentally checked out.

Thank you for your question. I would talk to your therapist first about it and then figure out what sets you up regarding having strong feelings. Develop coping strategies so that you can use them during the session and outside of the session

@Coconutmousse ,

How can i break a cycle without relapsing?

Try to find out your urges and triggers for it (eg drinking to feel numb, shut down feelings, whenever you feel guilty, shame). Then try to replace it with healthy coping strategies
