Listening is an Underrated Art
Listening is extremely important, but it is more important to learn HOW to listen. It seems pretty easy at first. We listen and talk to people everyday, right? How hard can it be? What we don't realise is that in our daily social interactions we never actively empathise with the opposite person. We tend to advise people so easily that we never think about their consequences of our advises, if taken seriously.
7 Cups has made me understand the power of listening. Listening is a difficult art which we learn step by step with a lot of care. I am yet to learn a lot about this underrated art. Longway to go.

I LOVE talking about listening. This poem kind of summarizes my ideas about it:
To listen
Is to allow someone to exhale as the tears roll down their face.
Is to hear the notes before they become a song.
Is to gently say,

@SteepMangos523 I feel the same way. Maybe that is why I prefer chatting with someone than talking face to face at times...specially when I am angry. It gives me the ability to process the information I just gained, review it, listen to it, understand the opposite person and then react. Listening intently can help us understand the true hidden emotions behind the words.
