How to deal with suicidal listeners
Hi everyone, I just wanted to touch on a subject which has been happening occasionally, and which I thought it would be helpful to give some guidance on...
All listeners are human beings, and so sometimes we don't feel great ourselves, and so need to take some time off. That's great when we recognise that, but sometimes we need someone to tell us that, especially if we are feeling suicidal.
In the rare occasion that you come across a listener who is suicidal or is not acting professionally with regard to his/her own personal problems, please use the red block button underneath the send button and just fill it in with thereason you are blocking the chat.
I know you may want to help, but we would like to ensure that the listener get's the right support at the time, and that members can get the best possible support from listeners at any time, and blocking them and letting us know why helps us to ensure that!

@guyinasuit This is probably very rare and sadly can happen. I hope everyone is able to benefit from this account of a rare event.
By the way, I would like to mentio that 7cups ask that we immediatly contact suicide.org. For those who don't live in USA (I live in france). I tried a few times and it doesn't work. There are no ways to contact them by chat or phone and even the national one doesn't work. We really need to have a special fast and easy protocol to immediatly contact someone when we find a suicidal eprson (member or listener) beause it's really scary when you find that kind of person and no one to report too quickly.
