...See more I met an autism and social anxiety girl, and she was being sexual assault by her mom’s boyfriend. She tell her mom, but her mom chose to stay away. I recommend her to call the hotline, but she too scared to do it. What I should do? I scared that her mom boyfriend may increase his action from smelling her cloth to more extreme action.

...See more Hello everyone! I'm Saki, and I'm new to 7cups. I've been grappling with an incredibly stressful situation over the past few years. My mother has dementia, and as her sole daughter and legal guardian, I've taken on the responsibility of ensuring her well-being and managing her affairs. However, navigating this journey has been made even more challenging due to the dynamics with her conservator. Communication has been a significant issue with the conservator, who consistently fails to effectively communicate with me. Recently, they even went as far as reporting me to the court without properly explaining the reasons behind their actions, leaving me feeling frustrated and unsupported. Their lack of clarity and frequent flakiness in communication have only added to my stress and sense of isolation in this role. Unfortunately, things came to a head during a court hearing yesterday, where I felt humiliated and insulted by the proceedings. It's disheartening to experience such mistreatment, especially when I'm still relatively new to this role and learning as I go. What's even more distressing is the perceived favoritism displayed by the judge towards the conservator, which only adds to the sense of injustice and frustration. Additionally, I want to highlight that during the hearing, I made it clear to the judge that I cannot effectively work with the conservator due to their poor communication and lack of cooperation. Despite this, the judge chose to disregard my concerns and continued to hurl insults, further exacerbating an already distressing situation. It's incredibly disheartening to see the very system that is meant to protect and support individuals in situations like mine fail to do so. The disregard for my valid concerns and the continued mistreatment only serve to deepen my sense of frustration and helplessness. I must admit that after the hearing, I no longer feel comfortable advocating for myself and my mother. Public speaking has always been a struggle for me, and the treatment I received during the hearing shattered what little confidence I had left. I wasn't given the opportunity to express how the conservator's poor communication skills have negatively impacted our situation. At this point, I'm left feeling angry and disillusioned. I believe those involved, including the conservator and the judge, need to be held accountable for their actions. Their behavior was unacceptable, and I refuse to stand idly by while they continue to mistreat vulnerable individuals like myself and my mother.I'm sharing this experience here because I know many of you understand the complexities and challenges of navigating the legal and caregiving aspects of dementia. I'm seeking support and advice on how to address these issues and advocate for myself and my mother effectively in the face of such adversity. Thank you for listening, and I appreciate any insights or support you can offer.
