Boredom is a luxury of those who do not do. Start doing and will not be bored. There is a lot that needs to be doe out there.
You most certainly can avoid those things. The best way to do so is try a new hobby or even sink your time into something that you enjoy a lot of. For instance if you love adventure and exploring maybe it is time for you to go on nature walks or even hiking. For me, my hobby is cars so I love to work on them, fix them, take my car on long trips just to get the feeling of driving. It is all about channelling that energy into something that gives you a sense of accomplishment and success rather than something that will not help you later on.
