I would not say you are depressed. I know you can think this way when something like that is happening. When I used to smoke, my happiness was often kind of busted to the point where I was really upset after sobering up. After some more time, smoking was not that fun for me because of being scared about sobering up. I was really scared about my situation, but it just took me some time to get rid of those feelings. It was not that hard, the only necessary thing was a belief that I can be happy without any weird substances. I believe that the mindset is so, so important in situations like that.

Hey, I have been there. Relying on a substance like marijuana may provide a quick escape, but when we touch back down to earth the issues we are struggling with are still there. That space that you arrive "home" to, after you have come down, is the true inner self you are ignoring. You don't have to suffer, but feeling better can be really difficult. It sounds like you are under a lot of stress right now, and marijuana is the only coping tool you have at the moment. Try to develop other coping tools such as yoga, art, therapy, excercise, and all of the other things that are good for us but difficult to do at first. The more effort you put in, the better you will feel. If you continue to ignore that part of yourself that is screaming for help, it will only feel more isolated and alone. You deserve joy and happiness!
