It might be a sign you are not truly wanting to take the medication at all, its a big decision to decide whether to go down the medicinal route for depression/ and or anxiety. Its a very personal choice, that only you can make if it sits well with you. From my own experience i felt reluctant to take medication, because I knew in my heart that it was not a long term solution, I had to deal with the root cause of my anxiety. But with that in mind, medication is necessary in certain circumstances to give your mind that respite it needs to gain clarity. I would say maybe your fear of what it will make you feel like if you take these meds, might be a sign of not wanting to feel like you've relinquished your control. Maybe analyze really where this fear is coming from, and see what conclusion you come to. Talking to your doctor about your concerns can also help you.
