Why does telling myself "it's just anxiety" make everything feel much worse?

Putting a label on how you feel can sometimes be a bad thing if you think about it the wrong way. When you tell yourself “it’s just anxiety” it normally will make your brain think that there is something wrong with you. And that is clearly not the case.
