I think it's lovely that you can still love someone after that. However, it is very important that you love and honor and protect yourself as well. I would focus on those three things and not on another person. Once you are doing that, positive relationships flourish and often damaged ones can recover and be even stronger than before.

We are different as people and it can take others a long time to get over a break up. I recommend spending more time with friends and family. If this doesn't work take, your time and sit by yourself and talk to yourself. Life goes on and you will meet other people. Everything is a risk. You took a risk to love this person and it's normal and it takes time to heal from a heartbreak so don't be hard on yourself. You are enough, you are loved and cared for. You are the main character of your story. Don't cry and start living. Learn to love yourself, put yourself first because if you don't nobody will. Protect yourself and your mental health .
