If you truly feel that he is for you and that you love him then go for it. Sometimes we make mistakes and only realize what we need once we don’t have them and that’s totally normal.

I do not think it would be a good idea for neither of you . There should be trust and openness in a relationship. Always. Personally I do not believe that it would work out. If you decide that you both want to continue being in a relationship you should really have a serious conversation about your relationship. The fact that you both cheated means there is something wrong with the relationship on both sides, something that should be fixed before given another chance because there might be unwanted consequences. Of course I don't know what is best for you which is why you should sort it out yourselves.
