Sometimes I feel like I put myself in a funk. Him and i are over but I want him to hurt like I was hurting. When will this vengefulness go away?

When you make it. When you realize that feeling this way towards him isn't doing anything. Maybe tell him how you felt.

I am sorry that you are feeling this way. Believe it or not, sometimes when a relationship ends, both are actually hurting no matter who “ended” it. Odds are you deserve better than him, and the Universe knows it. Oftentimes a closed door hurts, but it will lead to a better one. Listen to your friends when they say you deserve better. And… you may have heard this as well, but forgiveness is for you, not the other person. Don’t let any unforgiveness poison you, ok? I will be praying for you no matter what you believe, and I hope you feel better, and meet someone better. Try making a list of at least 10 qualities you will be looking for in your next significant other. Ex. Taller than me, loves my quirks, loves walks on the beach… etc. it can be as specific and different as you want. Take things day by day; try to focus on anything but this person (trust me you will thank yourself later). Sometimes the best vengeance is moving on. Good luck to you. Don’t forget we are here for you.
