He might not even think it. If you broke up or something it doesnt mean you are stupid. But theres only one person which can be your happy end and find him is sometimes hard (:

Because I cared? Made him feel I was available and that he was too good for me. My concern seemed stupid and smothering.

He may have thought that you were 'stupid' because he is deniable of what you have said or what is going on. He doesn't want to think that is true.

I guess he think you stupid because you make decision that doesn't follow his way or he can't understand you but fear not, you aren't stupid as own people as their own understanding :), No one is stupid :)

Whoever thought you were stupid doesn't understand your way of thinking. Just because you may think or act slower than him doesn't mean that anybody is more skilled. The next time he insults you, don't feel bad. Just ask yourself "What could be going on in his life that makes him think that?" He could be going through some things that you don't know about.

Because he was cheating on me, and he was thinking I was dumb and I didn't see that he was with other girls. He is stupid! I knew all of this things and I convinced him that I didn't, and he believed me. I loved him that's why I was trying to convince my self that I saw nothing ! Respect girls, respect women. ;)

What someone thinks of you is normally a reflection of themselves. You are far from stupid unless you have reason on reflection to think this to be your own truth.

The first thing to do is to reassure yourself that you are not. If he makes these derogatory comments or makes you feel this way, maybe it is not worth to even think about. Manipulation and abuse are never ok. Take time to love yourself and surround yourself with people who can see the real you...who is not stupid! This too shall pass. Just because someone says something or feels something negative towards you, does not mean it is correct. Don't ask yourself why he thought you were stupid in a bad sense because eventually, you'll laugh about it, Take time, I repeat take time.
