Thank you for writing in to 7 cups! I do not usually like to answer a question with a question, but why does this "friend" have to stay in your life? If they don't add value, they might very well be taking it out of your life. Have you considered joining a new club or sport that interests you? By picking up a new hobby outside of your existing circles, you expand your friend group, grow your support system, and add value to your life. Busying yourself with another activity that furthers you will also help this "friend" seem like a thing of the past. Hope this helps!
