Education just gives you the extra knowledge you need to persue your career. Of cause then again you can learn most things online and so on. But it also teaches you on how to socialize and work as a team. As well as meet deadlines for projects and so on.

Depends on what "education" means to you. Learning? Life is education and education is life. Reading, talking with people, traveling, TED Talks on Youtube. Amazing, mind-broadening stuff that forms you into a wise, well-rounded individual. College degree? College degrees help you get, keep, and get promotions in a job. Monetary security is nice.

While there are many studies that demonstrate that higher education is correlated with better health outcomes and such there are some successful people who dropped out of high school or did not go to college. Now, I think things are different and there are a lot of different paths people can go down without having to go to college. It is still the traditional route that most people take, but certainly isn't necessary for some things. If you want to become a doctor of some sort then you will need higher education, but Bill Gates did not go to college (or he dropped out at least) and he is very successful.

It depends on person to person. Education only matters how much a person can utilise it properly. If it's causing them distress or depression or even troubles, it might not matter much. For me education is essential in life, its the path I set off on and arranged for myself, a blessing, a luxury. But if you have another path available for you, that might seem more worthy and less distressing for you then Education, then that path isn't any less important then education. But its important to note, that many of the world issues are caused by a lack of proper literacy and education and many of our previous world problems were solved by education. Education makes people aware, whether it about their rights, themselves and the world. without education, people in dire trouble would not be able to understand their problems properly, whether it be about their mental or physical health, their government, or their relationships, and much less find a solution. It can be argued that education, there are still existing problems and inequality, but education has lowered the problems, additionally, the problem may not lie with the notion of education, but the particular model of education. In conclusion, the importance of education varies on individual to individual and enviroment.

~Hi there~ I believe education matters differently in different positions or stages in life. For example, during your teenage years, you would feel like education doesn't matter, but also it builds and leads you to your education goals. Around the first few years of becoming an adult, you would probably feel like education matters a lot since it led to your position at that time. Later, during your 40-50s, everyone would feel differently about whether education mattered. If you are satisfied with your progress in life, then there are chances you would think education mattered at least a bit (or you would think education is useless if it has nothing to do with your success). But if you are dissatisfied with your life, you might believe education taught you nothing (or that education would have helped you reach your goals). ~Thank you~

I think there is a misconception about how education is very important in one's life. Many people land on jobs without completing higher education. I believe that each of our lives, is a continuous form of education. No matter what it is we're doing, we're always in the process of learning something new. Education is only more knowledge at a specific field you choose to study. In some countries, it is important to have a Degree or a Master's in order to land a decent job, especially when the country has many highly-educated employees, one must gain their own education in order to compete with those people for jobs. Education is also important if it is required if you want to reach a certain level. I believe that attending school for higher education is the same as gaining life lessons/experiences. It's not entirely about the education that we are learning, but the progress in life we are achieving. It's not about getting straight A's, it's about what we learned in the "process" of getting straight A's.
