I just feel so worthless and I can't motivate myself to do school work or anything fun and I can't even make myself get out of bed. What do I do?

Life can be messy. Sometimes you need a little support to make your way through it. I love to help guide people through their challenges & to find the beauty in our messes.

You simply must make contact with other people. Call a friend or find a group of people with similar issues (search "support groups" on the Internet) and meet with them on a regular basis. The only way forward when you are stuck in the doldrums is to make contact with other people.

These seem like symptoms of Depression to me. Often we lack to see the motivation in doing things when going through a struggling phase in life. Going out and talking to someone comforting or being out in nature often helps. Also think of activities that could get you excited may be something creative or a hobby that you have wanted to pursue for long. Reducing your screen time to minimum can be a massive boost too and most importantly if you feel like resting just rest well. May be that is what your body needs right now. Much love to you. Hope you feel better soon.

First of all, it is okay to feel hard to get out of bed. You don't need to be motivated all the time and it is definitely okay to take time taking care of yourself. Why do you feel worthless? Do you feel like you have not done anything? Try to list what you have done, no matter how insignificant you think it is. Then you will realize you have done some great work. Just remember, not doing anything is not the same as doing nothing. If you think schoolwork is too heavy for you, try to break them down to really, really small tasks (for example, doing one math problem, read a page of book), and ask yourself to at least do one of them each day. In this way it will be easier, and you will be able to realize you have gotten something down every day and hopefully feel less worthless.

Try to be around others more. It is better to be around people that you trust and can share things with. If you find it difficult, start by going out for a walk. Mild exercise can get your blood pumping. It may improve your mood a little bit. Trying doing something new. Learn something new. Avoid doing things too competitive. Work on an individual project. Or simple go out and help some people. Don't ignore small steps. Don't worry about the speed. Some day even breath properly and drink enough water could be consider an achievement. Never forget to be proud of any tiny achievement. Every bits count. When you have enough bits, you will end up having something big and awesome.

From the start, you should try to think in what you wanna be and focus on it. Then you can try to enter any club of something that you like to do and that way you can know new people. If you can't get out of bed try to think on what you get if you work hard!

These are all common symptoms of depression. If you think this could be the case, or if these symptoms persist, and you are a minor you should speak to a trusted adult, such as a parent or school teacher. If this is not an option, or there are other issues with this top tips include (according to the nhs website) attempting to eat healthily and do exercise, and having a routine. If you go to your doctor, they may be able to confirm what he issue is an give you more specific advice on what to do next. Good Luck!

First, I just want to highlight that you are WORTHY and loved. I have also felt the same in school, and what really helps me to get out of my slump is to just take a break. Self-care is so, so, so important. Taking a nap, doing a facial, anything that seems small but important to your health and wellbeing will rejuvenate yourself and help you feel motivated. Something else some people like to do is also realign themselves to their purpose in life. No worries if you don't know your purpose in life (I don't know mine yet either). Realigning your purpose in life helps to regain that motivation. This all takes time, but do know that your thoughts do not make you any less worthy than you are and that you are an amazing person! These feelings WILL pass, and do not feel that you need to go through this alone. Feel free to reach out to listeners, we are all rooting for you!

Make small steps to get back into doing more work. Tomorrow, go for a 30 minute walk with a friend then when you get back, pick your favourite subject at school and do some practice questions from the textbook for half an hour. The next day, try to spend 15 minutes more than the day before, do a fun activity to help support your motivation. There really isn't a right answer for this as everyone is different. This is my method as I like to plan my schedule out but you do what you are most comfortable with. Here is a motivational video that you could have a look at too. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3WrCx3mwNo
