If you are a child, you can find out if you're depressed if you are lacking interests in areas you loved, being sad frequently without a smile, negative thinking and feeling hopeless and things can't get better for a long period of time.
It may be hard to find out that you are depressed since you have been that way since childhood. The depression may seem normal to you, therefore you would not be able to recognize it within yourself. Since there is feelings of sadness with depression and you may not notice it, you can look at the symptoms that depression has. These symptoms will show up in your life and affect your functionality as an individual in your everyday life. Your everyday life consists of whet you do on a daily basis such as personal hygiene, your activities such as what you do to live and your hobbies and social involvement with other people. Also, your financial life and work career is impacted as well. So you can tell that you have depression oftentimes by looking at your life and seeing how it is negatively impacted. Oftentimes people with depression experience apathy and procrastination.
