Connect with a therapist or councillor and find healthy ways to cope. See a mental health specialist and discuss what steps you can take.

You can do multiple things. You can tell someone that you trust or you can try doing things that you really enjoy to cheer you up. Everyone is sad at one point or other but if it gets to the point of suicidal thoughts or actions, you should see a doctor right away.

I think that getting rid of depression is a process. It takes a lot of time but I find from personal experience, the best way to get rid of it is to find a hobby; something you enjoy doing that will get your mind off things and help you slowly get rid of depression. Good luck! You can do it!

When one is depressed, it's not uncommon for them to deprive themselves from healthy things such as exercise, eating, sleeping well, socializing, all of which can help lead to a happier life. Once you're back on your feet is when things start getting better, but it's not an overnight fix, it has to be worked for.

Surround yourself with cute puppies. No matter how depressed you are, seeing your puppies face will surely make your day and would make you think less about your problems! Especially when they surround you with kisses and sniffs!

there's unfortunately no way to get rid of depression completely; it's treatable, but not curable. that is to say, there are resources and help you can get to help you cope and deal with the thoughts that come with depression. this could help you have a better, healthier mindset and therefore -help- your depression. sometimes, though, even with help and support, depression comes back for no particular reason. the important thing is learning to build up a support system so that when those periods of depression hit, you have a way of dealing with it in a healthy and helpful way.

It's very difficult to 'get rid' of depression. There is of course a wide spectrum of depression in terms of severity. Generally the things that you can do to help (which are extremely difficult in the moment) are to observe your body's needs. Have you had something to eat? Have you gotten outside? Have you had enough sleep? Try to attend to these basic needs first and there's a good chance that your mind will follow.

Make a list of things to do everyday. They can be hard (fly a plane) or easy (get out of bed and shower). The list making approach has helped me manage depression. Little victories and feeling accomplished goes a long way. Depression will always be around. I feel managing it little by little and talking are the best solutions.

Get to know your demons. Become friends with them. Find out their weaknesses and take them down. You can only get stronger from there.

Find something to do that you enjoy, it might be hard at first but press on and do it. It will help you overcome depression, it helped me several times. Sometimes it will not help but you need to try anyways.

Talking to a counselor or trusted friend can help tremendously with depression. I've found that prayer or meditation has helped me when I feel lonely. And lastly, medication can always be helpful.

i battled through my depression with determination and surrounding myself with others. On the days I wanted to stay in bed and cry I dragged myself up and went for a walk. I took it in small steps and I spoke to people around me to help them understand and I relaxed and I got there in the end

Well, you can't really ever get rid of it. You may be able to but that takes a lot of work. Sometimes you learn to life with it but more positively

There is no real solution, every person is different, and I also believe that one can never truly get rid of depression. There will always be things that will trigger someone to remember when they were very depressed and the feelings they had then. However, I think you can go to therapy or talk to friends in order to better cope with depression.

Depression is something more than a feeling. The most of the times you have to go to experts,or call to a depression line and help you out. Also don't see depression like something which difficult can go away, you only need to be willing to try and get over it.Try to live your life and spend every day doing things you like and love.

There are many ways to get rid of depression. Some of these things can be done on your own - when being depressed it is very important to eat properly and healthy, try to get some fresh air and have good sleeping habits. The most important thing is to seek help by someone professional. What you should do is to get in contact with a doctor or a mental health specialist. They will examine you and try to figure out whether you have a mild, moderate or severe depression. What happens from here depends on how severe your depression is. For people with a mild depression conversation therapy with a professional can be enough. If you have a moderate depression you may need medication in addition to the conversation therapy. This is something you can discuss with a doctor or a pshyciatrist. If you are having a severe depression, you may also have thoughts and plans about suicide. In a situation like that you may need an admission to a psychiatric ward where you get intensive care for a shorter or a longer period of time, depending on how severe your illness is. This is something you can discuss with a mental health specialist or a psychiatrist.

I find mantras help to refocus my mind and carry me up from a grounded and buried state. They exist throughout several spiritual denominations - and you can even create your own to connect your Higher Self.

The first step in getting rid of depression is being aware that you are suffering from depression. A good start is to take the self-help questionnaire available under the topic of "Depression." If the results verify that you are depressed, you may follow the suggestions for help. The two important issues are whether you are willing to consult a therapist for support and if you are willing to commit yourself to practice. Becoming aware of how you think about things and ways to change your thinking can help eliminate depression. It's possible that a psychiatrist may recommend that medication is necessary along with therapy, I suggest that a good start is going through the self-help guide. Try it and see where it leads.

Most people find it difficult to talk about their feelings. Especially when you can't explain those feelings yourself. You feel sad, you feel you may have let yourself down, or you may feel you are in a place there seems no obvious way out of. My advice is to just open your mouth and talk about anything with someone to get the ball rolling. Sit with a person you can trust over a coffee and just chat. As the conversation progresses you will find it easier to start talking about your feelings. Ask your listener if they have ever felt that way and how did they deal with it. The worse thing you can do is sit alone. Get out there and mingle with people. The human spirit is medicine for your soul and just being around others will be a great first step in talking about your feelings and sharing your pain. You are not alone. You are never alone.

Those are just some of the ways i cope with my depression. Hope they give you some suggestions.

One way you can rid of depression is creating a positivity or gratitude journal. Every day, write something positive about yourself or your life. Whether it be the fact that you have full eyelashes or a bed to sleep on, these little acts of gratitude can turn a person's life around, and it's proven by studies.

You can do the following things to overcome your depression. First of all, when you get up in the morning, tell yourself that you're gonna win this day. go out, have some walk around your garden or neighborhood. Talk to people, express yourself and let your all agony out and meet new people. Read books, novels or any literature related articles, listen to music or do any physical activity, it helps in exercising the brain cells which induces hormones that help as stress relievers. I hope this works out.
