I think i have really bad depression but my parents wouldn't understand. It physically hurts to motivate myself to do simple things like wake up and go to school. What should I do?

Try talking to someone. Anyone really. A friend or maybe someone at school, someone you can trust. And if you cant find someone like that around, there are people here who will listen and do everything they can to help you, I promise you that from experience. I know how hard it can be to motivate yourself, I too, have a hard time just convincing myself to get up in the mornings but I started to tell myself that its for my own good, that laying in bad aint gonna get me better and even though it can be very difficult, I know you can do it. Never give up and stay strong.

You know what, I am feeling the same way as you. I am feeling so down, no will to live, hating myself and I feel like I am worthless, I know it is so hard but try to tell the voices in your head to be nice to you, lemme just tell you this I just hope that you will look in the mirror and remind yourself of what you are, and what you are not. You are not your mistakes. You are not damaged goods or money from your failed explorations. You are not the opinion of someone who doesn’t know you. You are a product of the lessons you have learned. You are wiser because you went through something terrible. And you are the person who survived a bunch of rainstorms and kept walking. Now, believe in yourself. believe. believe, you can do it, maybe not now but in time. okay?

Your feelings are valid and so relatable to so many other people. Finding the motivation to do simple things when we are depressed can be very tiring. Celebrate even the simple tasks you do achieve each day. Waking up and going to school, taking a shower, doing your homework, all of those things should make you proud. You pushed yourself to complete those tasks and that is amazing! Feeling like our loved ones won't understand is always hard, but know that you have a community of people here that do understand. We are here to support you, and reaching out is something to be proud of. Keep your head up, we are here for you!
