Great question! If he is suffering from depression and broke up with you in relation to that, offer to be his friend from afar. Some people need space to work through their own issues and that could be good for not only them but you as well. Offer them resources if they seem open to seeking help, but if not, try not to push it. :)

Ask someone he is close with how he is doing and check up on him that way if he dont want to talk to you personally
