There are many places you can find psychology internships for high school students. For example, if you have networks with actual Psychologists, ask around and see if they can be apart of an experiment, however, there are times where it can be rough to find Therapists or Psychiatrists as their practices are more confidential. Fortunately the research side has many opportunities. For starters, high school students may look at the Psychology department of Universities they want to attend to and work with a psychology professor.

You may find what you need in www.skylandtrail.org. I talked to a man that works there and he told me that they may accept High School students for Psychology Internship.

The best way to find this out would be to contact school guidance officers and they will be able to lead you in the right path.

If there are hospitals near you, you could likely ask to intern in their psychiatric wards. If there are universities or colleges near you, you might be able to be involved with some of the student's research or intern with a professor.

Google helps? General searching of the internet, speaking to people in the field. Psychology sounds fun!

Contact your local Psychology community for references of practitioners you could contact. I am sure they are happy to help.

Many places! Community outreach, restorative justice, Big Brothers Big Sisters, etc. Try consulting with your school counselor (if one is available) and they can directly set you up with their connections in the field to get you started. Once you have been volunteering for at least a year, you can also look up "Behaviour Intervention" -- specifically ABA (Applied Behavioural Analysis) and look for jobs in this area while you are taking Psychology in University.

Non-profit counseling organizations in individual states are always asking for more volunteers. Many offer internships to current psychology students.

Mostly library, and internet. So many places on the internet to go for information. Or even chat rooms where others are studying the same thing. The internet is full of information. The library also has many books on this subject to study. Or you could even make a conversation about it to others to bring up information.

It looks like the internships are only for college and graduate school students. If volunteering is something you're interested in, starting out at a nursing home can be a great way of getting some experience with a population with a variety of psychological concerns.

Not yet, the idea is in development so it's certainly worth keeping a look out in the forums if you are the correct age.
