How can I work on my cravings for foods that trigger binges?

Try as hard as you can to distract yourself by doing something else. It can be something small: like writing something (a diary entry, a poem). I often went for a walk. It prevented me from giving in because it kept me away from food. Cravings for food are often a result of not knowing what to do with oneself...so I found that keeping yourself occupied with something besides eating almost always helps!

You can put the foods that you often crave into serving sized baggies; this lets you satiate the cravings, while limiting intake. If that doesn't help, then you can try finding healthy alternatives to the foods that generally trigger binges, but still satiate the craving.

When you're craving that food, distract yourself with something else to keep your mind off of it. Distracting yourself is a great way to keep your mind off of things you're craving, whether it is food, drugs, alcohol, or cigarettes.

Keep healthy snacks around - like nuts or fruits, have healthy smoothies and drinks, and keep alternatives close.

I would say find yourself an alternative foods that taste just as good but healthy with lower in calories. ;)

You need to find out what causes you to want food, and remedy it. I personally had the same problem, and I discovered that thoughtful conversations with people made me feel full inside like food would.
