I think that you should ask them the reason why they’re making a big deal out of it, maybe they’re genuinely concerned for your well being or maybe they’re just making comments. It’s nice to know which of the reasons it is so you can better understand why people are doing so. At the end of the day your opinion is the only opinion that should and does matter, even if they are people that you care about if their intentions are good but it hurts your feelings I would recommend telling them how you feel and then maybe they can find a different way to remind you without bugging you about it. :)
