The only way to the other side of pain is to walk through it rather than around it. Life is a continual journey. Sometimes we get stuck. I will help you get unstuck!

If there is stress in your life it can effect your appetite and cause your body to feel full as soon as there is anything in your stomach.
My first instinct is to say that you might have delayed stomach emptying (gastroparesis). That or if you're on medication it could be from that. I honestly think it's the first thing though..mainly because I suffer from gastroparesis, and have some symptoms similar to yours – I feel like I want more food than I "can" or "should" eat in a sitting (since if I eat too much, it makes me feel very sick to my stomach), and sometimes feel very full after just a few bites of food. If you lose your appetite quickly, it may be your body trying to protect you; it is keeping you from eating more than you can handle and filling your stomach so much that it causes discomfort. You didn't mention any nausea, vomiting or stomach discomfort (common symptoms of gastroparesis), but it is possible that your loss of appetite is causing you to eat very small amounts, and prevents you from getting severe symptoms. To solve this or treat it better, you could do what I started doing..which is to eat small meals but more frequently throughout the day. Another thing that would help would be to avoid foods that are slow to digest naturally (such as foods high in fat). I hope I helped at least a little!
Sometimes your brain doesn't allow you to eat, a common cause may be anxiety and stress. When the body senses danger it prevents you from eating (however this danger may not be present). It also may be due to your body survival instincts kicking in, when your body feels uneasy or has not eaten correctly for some time, it assumes you are starving and in a survival situation, and therefor only consumes minimal amounts.
If you have struggled with eating disorders, its more likely that your appetite has become smaller. If you have a certain issue in your metabolism, that could be the cause.
Mental health and stress can have a negative impact on a normally healthy appetite. I don't know why, medically, but I do know from experience sometimes when a person is very sad, or dealing with a problem that is all consuming, a person's basic needs such as eating, drinking water and showering can take a back seat because your mind is too preoccupied with the crisis to naturally take care of your basic needs. During this time its important to keep food in the house that you enjoy eating and that provide nutrients, so that when you do want to eat, you have something on hand that will sustain you, even if you only take a few bites.
If you are taking some sort of medication that could be effecting you appetite please see you doctor for advise. But if you are just loosing appetite for no reason then do see a doctor to find out why and is your heath in check.
